How to write a useful correction

For corrections to a specific name entry, please include:

• The exact name and the URL of the page (e.g. namesake.info/names/ibrahim)
• The specific claim you believe is incorrect
• A source for the correction — a linguistic reference, dictionary, classical text, or peer-reviewed article

We typically respond within a week and publish corrections as soon as we can verify the source.

Response times

Namesake is a small editorial project, not a commercial support operation. Response times vary but we aim to reply to every legitimate message within seven days. Unsolicited marketing, link-exchange, and backlink requests will not receive a reply.
